Mark Jamison

Mark Jamison graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Performance (Double Bass, 1973) from the Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto. He subsequently spent a decade performing with such ensembles as Orchestra London, The Quebec Symphony, The Toronto Symphony Orchestra, The Canadian Opera Company and The National Ballet of Canada (1978-81.) He was a faculty member of the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Mark has held leading management positions with business, educational and cultural, organizations. These include the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony and the Royal Conservatory of Music. Currently, Mark is the Chief Executive Officer of Magazines Canada ( http://www.magazinescanada.ca/home.php ) , the national advocacy organization representing the Canadian content magazine industry. He is a past director of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, sits on several cultural boards and is also a frequent lecturer and consultant on not-for-profit organizational governance.
